Realization: House in Harmeze (2020)
Construction of an exclusive, year-round holiday home made of larch logs, built based on the client's individual design in a record time of 4 months.
House in Harmeze: Style and functionality at express speed
The Harmeze project proves that exclusive regional architecture can go hand in hand with modern technologies and a fast construction process. Completed in just 4 months, the larch log house combines traditional craftsmanship with energy efficiency (heat pump) and unique interior elements, such as a spiral staircase made from a tree trunk.
Challenge: A prestigious recreational house with soul
The investor sought a contractor capable of creating an authentic, year-round recreational property. The key was to maintain the regional character (highland style) while integrating modern, energy-saving solutions. Standard offers did not meet the requirements for project individualization, especially regarding unique architectural details and craftsmanship finishing.
Key to success: Larch, stone, and short deadline
A crucial element of the realization was the use of larch logs and basing the work on the client's individual design. This allowed for achieving the desired aesthetic and incorporating non-standard elements: a massive fireplace covered with slate stone and a spectacular spiral staircase, the core of which is a natural, unprocessed tree trunk – the essence of craftsmanship and nature.
Process and construction technology
Thanks to the wooden construction, the 117 m² house (2 floors, 2 rooms, 1 bathroom) was completed to developer standard in just 4 months. Mineral wool insulation and the use of a heat pump as the heating source ensure low operating costs and full thermal comfort throughout the year, which was fundamental for its year-round purpose.
